How is it made?

1.

Organic tea is steeped with hot water and organic sugar is added, essentially making a very sweet green tea!

2.

This is then cooled, and what is known as a 'starter liquid' is added.

Starter liquid is simply a previous kombucha batch that has been left to ferment a little longer.

3.

The SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast) is then left for a number of weeks, and the bacteria feeds on the sugar and ferments the Kombucha giving it that unique boochy taste!

4.

After this stage, we go through some final processing to ensure the booch is clear, sparkling and delicious before canning each small batch by hand ready for you to enjoy!

What is Kombucha?

Kombucha is a low sugar soft drink alternative, full of gut healthy antioxidants, so it's not only tasty and refreshing but also goes hand in hand with a healthy lifestyle!

The original recipe goes back thousands of years originating in China and has been used as medicine in Asian cultures for centuries.

Whilst our brewery has some fancy modern brewing equipment and our process may be a little more refined, ultimately the process is the same as it has been for millennia, with the goal of staying true to Kombucha!

Our kombucha is raw, vegan, gluten free and made from organic ingredients so is perfect for everyone to enjoy!
